Getting Starting....
After graduating from Laine Theatre Arts in July 2009 I went on to pursue my career as a dancer. As I'm sure most of you are aware the industry is very tough and I soon decided to have a change of heart and head towards teaching.
In July 2010 I started up my own business 'Lottie T Musical Theatre' where myself and my friend, Katy Lye (also now on this course!) would run holiday courses for children aged 6-13. Each course would be a different musical which I would re-write a script around the story to suit them. We are now a year on from starting and this summer we held a week course and had 'West End Stars' in to take workshops with the children-which they loved!!!
After getting a real feel and love for teaching I soon took over a franchise of 'Sutton Theatretrain' which is teaching classes in dance, singing and acting to children aged 6-18. It is so rewarding to be able to pass on my experiences and training to the next generation. We rounded off the last school year with a show which was performed in The Royal Albert Hall. What an experience!!! The children were buzzing and to be honest I wish I could have been up on stage with them!!!
Now I feel I have really found where my heart lies with teaching which is why I have decided to undertake this BAPP course to then be able to further my career as a teacher.
Now to get on with making this video!!!!
